May 2009: The 2009 Global Assessment Report on Disaster Risk Reduction will be launched in Manama, Bahrain, on 17 May 2009, at an event organized by the UN Development Programme (UNDP) and the UN International Strategy for Disaster Reduction (UN/ISDR). UNPFII to Consider Climate Change Policies and Projects' Adherence to the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples' Standards [viewed]

The Forum will also consider the response from the UNFCCC Secretariat regarding two recommendations on indigenous peoples and climate change adopted during the seventh session of the UNPFII (E/C.19/2008/13), which was held from 21 April-2 May 2008.

UNFCCC Secretariat Releases UK's GHG Inventory [viewed]

© UNFCCC30 April 2009: The UNFCCC Secretariat has released the report of the individual review of the 2007 and 2008 greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory submissions of the UK (FCCC/ARR/2008/GBR). The expert review team (ERT) finds the inventory to be generally in line with the Revised 1996 Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Guidelines, the IPCC good practice guidance and the IPCC good practice guidance for land use, land-use change and forestry (LULUCF).
