UNFCCC Publishes Corrigendum to Cancun Report [viewed]

20 April 2011: The UNFCCC  Secretariat has published a corrigendum (FCCC/CP/ 2010/7/Corr.1) to the report of the Conference of the Parties on its 16th session (COP 16), which convened in Cancun, Mexico, from 29 November-10 December 2010. The corrigendum, under proceedings, concerns lists of representatives who made statements at the high-level segment.

Researchers Discuss Wheat Rust Concerns, Links to Climate Change [viewed]

20 April 2011: Researchers from 31 countries meeting at an international symposium raised concerns about the increased vulnerability of wheat production in many countries to new varieties of stem rust, which could lead to epidemics threatening regional food security and rural livelihoods, as well as further increases in global food prices.

World Bank-IMF Spring Meetings Highlight Food Security Threat and Support Green Climate Fund [viewed]

16 April 2011: The Development Committee, which advises the Board of Governors of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) on development issues, met on 16 April 2011. It cautioned that economic overheating in some sectors, especially food and energy, is resulting in price pressures and volatility, putting developing countries and especially their most vulnerable populations at risk.

Event: Nansen Conference on Climate Change and Displacement in the 21st Century [viewed]

This meeting will focus on vulnerability, resilience and capacity for adaptation of communities in areas that are prone to disaster due to climate change, the protection of displaced people, and promotion of action to help prevent or manage displacement.
