The ninth session of the Committee for the Review of the Implementation of the Convention (CRIC 9) and the second special session of the Committee on Science and Technology (CST S-2) of the UN Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) are expected to take place from 16-25 February 2011. CST S-2 will convene from 16-18 February, and will be followed by CRIC 9 from 21-25 February. In addition, the COP 9 Bureau will meet from 14-15 February, and regional consultations preparatory to CRIC 9 will convene back-to-back with the CST session.
