18 November 2009: Over 60 leading agricultural scientists and policy experts released a statement stressing the need to include consideration of agriculture, specifically the ability of crops to adapt to climate change, in any agreement at the climate change conference in Copenhagen.

23 November 2009: The UNFCCC Secretariat has released the provisional annotated agenda (FCCC/AWGLCA/2009/15) for the eighth session of the Ad Hoc Working Group on Long-term Cooperative Action under the Convention (AWG-LCA 8). This session will convene from 7-15 December 2009, in Copenhagen, Denmark, in conjunction with the 15th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UNFCCC and the fifth session of the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol(COP/MOP 5).
