The feature story, an interview with members of a livelihood adaptation to climate change project in Bangladesh, focuses on technology transfer, actor involvement and other prerequisites for and obstacles to community adaptation.

FAO's Committee on Agriculture Addressing Role of Agricultural Production in Adaptation and Mitigation [viewed]

© FAO22 April 2009: The 21st meeting of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Committee on Agriculture, taking place from 22-25 April 2009, in Rome, Italy, is addressing, among other issues, the role of agricultural production in adapting to climate change and mitigation. The Committee will consider challenges arising from the need for adaptation and mitigation in agriculture, as well as from increased demand for biofuels.

UNFCCC Secretariat Releases Report from Meeting of Least Developed Country Expert Group [viewed]

UNFCCC Secretariat Releases Denmark and Japan's GHG Inventories [viewed]

© UNFCCC15 April 2009: The UNFCCC Secretariat has released the report of the individual review of the greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory submissions of Denmark and Japan submitted in 2007 and 2008 (FCCC/ARR/2008/DNK) and (FCCC/AAR/2008/JPN). The expert review team (ERT) finds both inventories to be generally in line with the Revised 1996 Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Guidelines, the IPCC good practice guidance and the IPCC good practice guidance for land use, land-use change and Forestry (LULUCF).
