World Bank Launches Book on Evaluating Climate Change and Development

18 February 2010: The InfoShop of the World Bank has launched a book titled “Evaluating Climate Change and Development,” a compilation of papers presented at the International Conference on Evaluating Climate Change and Development, which was organized by the Global Environment Facility (GEF) Evaluation Office and partners, in Alexandria, Egypt, in May 2008.

The book is one of several follow-up initiatives launched by the GEF Evaluation Office, which will include: an electronic repository of climate change evaluations; Wiki (online forum) for the community of practitioners in climate change and development; and two mitigation and three adaptation evaluation studies. The InfoShop is the public information center of the World Bank and serves as a forum for substantial debate on international development. [GEF Evaluation Office Website] [World Bank InfoShop]
