World Bank Civil Society Forum to Address CSO Approaches to Reducing Vulnerability

© World BankApril 2009: The World Bank Development Dialogue on Values and Ethics and the Civil Society Team are organizing a session within the Civil Society Forum on the challenges ahead to reduce the magnitude of climate change as well as its impact, with the discussion based on findings from the draft World Development Report on climate change.

The relationship between climate change, weather shocks and nutrition in developing countries will also be discussed, and one presentation will focus on the role to be played by civil society organizations (CSOs) in advocating for policies in developing countries to reduce the risk of climate change and help fund programs in developing countries to deal with the impact of climate change.
