UN/ISDR Supports Disaster Management Training in Mexico

27 August 2010: The UN International Strategy for Disaster Reduction (UN/ISDR) regional office for the Americas and the UN Capacity Development for Disaster Reduction Initiative are supporting an initiative of Mexico City, Mexico, to train 10,000 public servants on their responsibilities and options to consistently help reduce risks facing their city.  Mexico City is a signatory to the UN/ISDR Making Cities Resilient campaign and its mayor is committed to increasing the city's resilience to climate change.
