UNFCCC Secretariat Launches Call for Inputs on Proposals for Review of the CDM Registration and Issuance Process
12 February 2010: The UNFCCC Secretariat has launched a call for inputs from stakeholders on proposals for the review of the registration and issuance process for Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) project activities, as requested by the CDM Executive Board (EB) at its 52nd meeting.
At that meeting, the CDM EB considered four draft proposals on: procedures for requests for registration of a proposed CDM project activity; procedures for review for requests for registration; procedures for requests for issuance of Certified Emission Reductions (CERs); and procedures for review for requests for issuance. The EB also requested the Secretariat to launch a call for inputs from stakeholders on these proposals. Stakeholders can submit comments on the UNFCCC website until 5 March 2010, and the Board will consider comments received at its 53rd meeting, to be held from 22-26 March 2010, in Bonn Germany.
