UNFCCC Publishes Corrigendum to Russia’s GHG Inventory Review Report

13 December 2012: The UNFCCC Secretariat has released a Corrigendum to the report of the centralized review of the 2011 annual submission of the Russian Federation (FCCC/ARR/2011/RUS/Corr.1). The corrigendum introduces some amendments to the information reported on emissions by sources and removals by sinks of greenhouse gases (GHGs) resulting from land use, land-use change and forestry (LULUCF) activities, in accordance with Article 3, paragraphs 3 and 4.

The corrigendum introduces changes to Table 3, which provides information on LULUCF emissions and removals and accounting parameters. It amends some of the reported numbers for activities related to afforestation and reforestation on non-harvested land. On activities under Article 3, paragraph 4, it contains information on forest management.

The corrigendum also includes modifications to table 4, expressed in tons of carbon dioxide equivalent. It further provides that, based on the information provided in table 4 for the activity afforestation/reforestation, the Russian Federation shall issue 4,417,446 removal units in its national registry, rather than 4,417,445, units as stated in the original submission.
