Private Sector Representatives Sought for World Bank Climate Investment Funds

1 July 2009: The World Business Council on Sustainable Development (WBCSD) is currently seeking applications by business associations to attend meetings of two Climate Investment Fund committees – the Clean Technology Fund and Strategic Climate Fund – and one subcommittee - the Pilot Program for Climate Resilience.

This represents one of three self-selection processes that are underway for civil society organizations, indigenous peoples and business associations to identify representatives who will participate as observers in the World Bank's recently created Climate Investment Funds.

In related news, applications for civil society observers (CSO) are due to RESOLVE, an NGO who is helping to organize the CSO self-selection process, on Wednesday, July 15 (midnight, EST). [Private Sector Self-Selection Process][Civil Society Self-Selection Process][Climate Investment Funds Website]
