Peru Deposits Acceptance of the Amendment to Annex B to the Kyoto Protocol
25 January 2012: The UNFCCC Secretariat has reported that the Government of Peru has deposited its instrument of acceptance of the amendment to Annex B to the Kyoto Protocol.
At the second session of the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol (COP/MOP 2), held in Nairobi, Kenya, in November 2006, the parties adopted an amendment to Annex B to the Protocol by decision 10/CMP.2, in accordance with Articles 20 and 21 of the Protocol. Peru's acceptance of the amendment brings the total number of States and regional economic integration organizations that have deposited instruments of acceptance to 27.
