IPCC Announces Release Dates for Proposals on IAC Recommendations

10 February 2011: The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has announced that the proposals from task groups to take forward the InterAcademy Council's (IAC) recommendations will be submitted for formal consideration by the IPCC at its 33rd session, scheduled to take place from 10-13 May 2011, in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

The Task Groups are addressing recommendations from the IAC on: procedures; governance and management; conflict of interest policy; and communications strategy. The Task Groups are consulting with the members of the IPCC for their initial comments following discussions held in Geneva, Switzerland, in February 2011. The revised proposals will be available four weeks before the 33rd session of the IPCC. [IPCC Website] [IPCC Decisions at its 32nd Session on the IAC Recommendations]
