ILO Organizes First Interagency Green Jobs Learning Forum

23 April 2011: The International Labour Organization (ILO) has organized the first interagency Learning Forum on Green Jobs. The event took place from 4-22 April 2011, at the International Training Centre of the ILO in Turin, Italy.

The Forum brought together around 40 professionals from 20 different countries with the aim of assessing and addressing the labour market implications of achieving environmental goals. It is part of ILO's efforts in stressing the role of decent work in the processes towards a fairer and greener globalization.

Bringing together decision makers and practitioners, the Forum offered a space for debate and an opportunity to share knowledge, tools and examples of good practices on the design and implementation of effective local strategies for the promotion of green jobs.
