IFAD Develops Climate Change Strategy
12 May 2010: The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) has developed a new strategy to mainstream climate change into its core programmes, policies and activities.
Noting that agriculture is where climate change, food security and poverty reduction interact, IFAD explains that the new strategy aims to help smallholders take advantage of mitigation incentives and funding. The strategy also creates a platform for global dialogue on climate change, rural development, agriculture and food security. [IFAD Press Release] [The Strategy]
