IEA Hosts Online Seminar on Significance of Copenhagen for CCS
14 January 2010: The International Energy Agency (IEA) hosted a “webinar” that focused on the implications of the outcome for carbon capture and storage (CCS) from the 15th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UNFCCC in Copenhagen, Denmark, in December of 2009.
The event began with an history of the CCS discussion and overview of progress made in Copenhagen before hearing opinions from a number of perspectives on these events, including that of: Annex I countries; the Indonesian perspective as an example of a non-Annex I country; industry and business; and a presentation of the potential of long-term cooperation on CCS. The seminar concluded with a discussion of likely next steps. [Presentations and Audio from Webinar]
