EU and ACP Meet Before Copenhagen

logoeupresidency4 December 2009: Representatives of the Swedish Presidency of the EU and the European Commission held consultations with the Ambassadors to Brussels of 78 African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) countries in order to identify key issues for joint work during and after the Copenhagen Climate Change Conference.

During the consultations, countries agreed on the need to reach an ambitious and comprehensive agreement at Copenhagen, on the basis of common but differentiated responsibility. The EU and ACP will reconvene in Brussels, Belgium, in early 2010 to take forward the agreement from Copenhagen. [EU Presidency Press Release]
