AfDB Launches Clean Energy Bond for Japanese Investors

8 March 2010: The African Development Bank (AfDB) has issued a Clean Energy bond, denominated in New Zealand dollars, which will be offered to Japanese retail investors during the month of March.

The bond will offer investors the opportunity to participate in clean energy solutions, as the net proceeds of the issue will, on a best efforts basis, be used to finance a portfolio of clean energy projects.
