UNU Public Symposium on Climate Change and Education: UNESCO's Role in the 2010s

This public symposium is hosted by the UN University (UNU). Irina Bokova, UN Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Director General, will focus on the role of education in addressing climate change impact in a sustainable manner. UNESCO has recently launched a climate change initiative that supports investigation and research in areas such as advancing knowledge about climate change, preserving the biosphere, coping with the social aspects of climate change, and minimizing disaster risks.
