30_June_2015: The UNFCCC Secretariat has announced that the Government of China has submitted its intended nationally determined contribution (INDC). According to its INDC, China intends to peak carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions by around 2030 and lower CO2 emissions per unit of gross domestic product (GDP) by 60-65% from 2005 levels by 2030. China is the 43rd Party to the UNFCCC to formally submit its INDC. continued...

26_June_2015: Parliamentarians from Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda have joined in an effort to reduce the impacts caused by natural threats, epidemics and manmade hazards, by setting up a mechanism that aims to boost governance to reduce disaster risk and reinforce the capacity of populations to build sustainable livelihoods.
