Event: US Clean Energy Education and Empowerment (C3E) Retreat [viewed]

The Clean Energy Education and Empowerment (C3E) initiative, of the Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM), aims to advance the position of women in the field of clean energy. This retreat, hosted by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's (MIT) Energy Initiative, will bring together 25 senior-level US C3E Ambassadors to discuss strategy and review the nominations for the C3E Awards, which will be announced at the C3E Symposium at MIT on 28 September 2012.

Sweden, US Launch Short-Lived Climate Pollutants Campaign [viewed]

3 June 2012: Swedish Environment Minister Lena Ek, US Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton and HRH Swedish Crown Princess Victoria launched an awareness raising campaign under the Climate and Clean Air Coalition (CCAC) to Reduce Short-Lived Climate Pollutants (SLCPs). The campaign consists of a contest to come up with creative ideas to inform the public about SLCPs and means of addressing the issue.
