UNEP Forum Urges Accelerated Transition to Energy Efficient Lighting [viewed]

enlighten11 November 2014: The UN Environment Programme (UNEP) en.lighten initiative has convened the Global Efficient Lighting Forum, which focused on accelerating the global phase-in of energy-efficient lighting products. The forum brought together representatives from electrical utilities, lighting manufacturers, development banks, financial institutions and international agencies to reaffirm their commitment to mitigate climate change by transitioning to energy-efficient lighting, and to discuss the best ways to accelerate such a transition.

Event: Second International Conference on Renewable Energies for Developing Countries (REDEC 2014) [viewed]

The Second International Conference on Renewable Energies for Developing Countries (REDEC 2014) will explore solutions for energy saving and production in developing countries, including in the areas of: renewable energy resources; renewable energy conversion; energy storage; energy management, saving and efficiency; renewable energy-relevant policies and regulation in developing countries; technologies for rural energy service provision; and regional and international support programs for renewable energy in developing countries.
