EEA Releases Preliminary Data on Emissions Ceilings Directive Limits [viewed]

EEA22 February 2012: The European Environment Agency (EEA) has released preliminary data that shows that 12 countries have exceeded the 2010 emissions limits under the EU National Emission Ceilings (NEC) Directive, which covers: sulphur dioxide (SO2); nitrogen oxides (NOx); non-methane volatile organic compounds (NMVOCs); and ammonia (NH3). NOx and NMVOCs are greenhouse gases (GHGs) contributing to climate change.

Event: Fifth Meeting of the UNECE Taskforce on Water and Climate [viewed]

Event: Third Workshop on Water and Climate Change Adaptation in Transboundary Basins [viewed]

This workshop, which is organized by the UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), will bring together participants engaged in activities on water and adaptation to climate change and variability, in particular in transboundary basins.
