UNFCCC Publishes Views on Appeals Against CDM Executive Board Decisions [viewed]
21 April 2011: The UNFCCC Secretariat has published submissions (FCCC/SBI/2011/MISC.2) from parties, intergovernmental organizations and admitted observer organizations, regarding their views on procedures and institutional arrangements under the Conference of the Parties serving as the Meeting of the Parties under the Kyoto Protocol (COP/MOP) to allow for appeals against the Executive Board of the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) decisions based on decision 2/CMP.5, paragraph 42, taking into account the recommendations of the Executive Board contained in annex II to its annual report.
22 April 2011: At a meeting with the Russian Federation's President Dmitry Medvedev, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon praised the strong partnership between the Russian Federation and the UN and called for even greater cooperation on global governance issues, including climate change and sustainable development.

20 April 2011: The UNFCCC Secretariat has published the report (FCCC/ARR/2010/ISL) of the individual review of the annual submission of Iceland. 
19 April 2011: Addressing the High-level Inter-parliamentary Debate on Climate Change at the European Parliament, in Brussels, Belgium, Christiana Figueres, UNFCCC Executive Secretary, observed that, in spite of all its encouraging outcomes, Cancun did not solve key political questions. 
15 April 2011: Hungary has announced it will donate one million Euro to the Least Developed Countries Fund (LDCF) operating under the UNFCCC and managed by the Global Environment Facility (GEF), thus becoming one of the first donors in Central Europe to invest in climate adaptation for least developed countries (LDCs), which are most vulnerable to the adverse impacts of climate change.
