Durban Forum on Capacity-building Holds Inaugural Meeting [viewed]

23 May 2012: The Durban Forum on Capacity-building, which was agreed upon at the 17th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 17) in Durban, South Africa, held its inaugural meeting. The Forum aims to facilitate the enhancement of monitoring and review of the effectiveness of capacity building, and to enable Parties and other stakeholders to exchange ideas and share experiences, lessons learned and good practices on the implementation of capacity building activities in developing countries.

ICLEI, MIT Release Urban Climate Adaptation Survey Results [viewed]

16 May 2012: The UN International Strategy for Disaster Reduction (UNISDR) has announced that Local Governments for Sustainability (ICLEI) and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) have released the results of the global survey titled “Progress and Challenges in Urban Climate Adaptation Planning,” in which 468 cities participated.

UNEP, World Bank and UN-HABITAT Welcome Pilot Protocol on Urban Emission Measurement and Reporting [viewed]

UNFCCC Workshop Focuses on Equitable Access to Sustainable Development [viewed]
