FAOSTAT includes raw data, analyses and tools to compare data across a series of thematic areas. The data cover 245 countries and 35 regions from 1961 to the present.

22 November 2012: The Africa Adaptation Programme (AAP) has released a summary report of the regional conference marking the end of its four-year mandate, outlining lessons learned from the programme, its deliverables and its sustainability potential.
November 2012: The UN Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) has released a guide to the growing interplay between trade and climate-related initiatives in industrialized countries, with specific attention given to efforts to measure and label the "carbon footprint" of products, and how they may affect Latin American and Caribbean agricultural and food exports.
7 December 2012: The US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), with the support of two working groups of the Arctic Council, has released the 2012 update to the Arctic Report Card. The Report Card, which has been published since 2006 tracks environmental changes in the region, including with regard to the atmosphere, sea ice and ocean, marine ecosystems, terrestrial ecosystems and the terrestrial cryosphere.
6 December 2012: The World Food Programme (WFP) and the UN Human Settlements Programme (UN-HABITAT) have partnered to carry out the “Philippine Cities and Climate Change Adaptation” initiative, which aims to increase resilience to climate change in four Filipino cities.
28 November 2012: The Organization for Security Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) and the European Environment Agency (EEA) have published a brochure, titled "Using Scenarios to Improve Understanding of Environment and Security Issues," which summarizes the findings of a project to assess the security implications of climate change in Eastern Europe, the Western Balkans and Central Asia.
6 December 2012: The International Partnership on Mitigation and Measuring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) has published the second edition of its quarterly Mitigation Newsletter for November 2012. The Newsletter includes reports of recent activities on mitigation, including on technical workshops held in Chile, Thailand and Costa Rica.
4 December 2012: The UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Secretariat and the European Climate Foundation (ECF) jointly event held on the sidelines of the 18th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 18) to the UNFCCC in Doha, Qatar, which stressed the need to urgently address the emissions gap and scale up local actions through the international climate process.
3 December 2012: Lamenting the lack of progress on agriculture in the UNFCCC negotiations, participants at the Agriculture, Landscapes and Rural Development Day explored options for climate-smart agriculture to address mitigation, adaptation and smallholder farmer challenges.
