COP 20 President Hosts Second Twitter Dialogue [viewed]

manupulgarvidal3 October 2014: The Minister of Environment of Peru, Manuel Pulgar-Vidal, who is also the President-designate of the 20th session of the Conference of Parties (COP 20) to the UNFCCC, responded to questions on COP 20 during a 30-minute Twitter conversation. The conversation, which took place in Spanish under the hashtag #HablaCOP20, was organized on 3 October, two months ahead of the Lima Climate Conference.

India, US Establish Strategic Partnership on Clean Energy and Climate Change [viewed]

UNFCCC Releases ADP 2-5 Report [viewed]

UNFCCC30 September 2014: The UNFCCC Secretariat has published the report of the fifth part of the second session of the Ad Hoc Working Group on the Durban Platform for Enhanced Action on (ADP 2-5), which was held from 4-14 June 2014, in Bonn, Germany. The document (FCCC/ADP/2014/2) contains summaries of proceedings and discussions under the five agenda items of the ADP, as well as two annexes containing documents and informal notes prepared for considered by ADP 2-5.

UNGA Debate Concludes with Focus on 2015 Agreement, Link to Sustainable Development [viewed]

Meetings of the CBD and its Protocols Open in Pyeongchang [viewed]

CBD29 September 2014: The seventh Meeting of the Parties to the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety (Cartagena Protocol COP/MOP 7) has opened in Pyeongchang, the Republic of Korea. It will be followed by the twelfth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD COP 12), which will run from 6-17 October 2014, also in Pyeongchang, and the first Meeting of the Parties to the Nagoya Protocol on Access to Genetic Resources and the Fair and Equitable Sharing of Benefits Arising from their Utilization (ABS) (NP COP/MOP 1), which will be held during the second week of CBD COP 12, from 13-17 October 2014.
