24 June 2009: Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) countries have agreed to boost official backing for exports of renewable energy and nuclear power equipment by offering more generous terms on government-backed credits in support of export deals.
23 June 2009: Opening the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development's (OECD) Tenth Forum, which was held in Paris, France, from 23-24 June 2009, Han Seung-soo, Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea and Chair of OECD's Ministerial Council Meeting, highlighted that the Forum's theme, “The Crisis and Beyond: For a stronger, cleaner, fairer world economy,” seeks to address the unprecedented challenges of the global financial crisis and climate change.
19 June 2009: The International Labour Conference of the International Labour Organization (ILO), which took place from 3-19 June 2009, in Geneva, Switzerland, concluded with the adoption of a new "Global Jobs Pact," which underlines the need to include green jobs and green technologies in the recovery packages and policies.
18 June 2009: On the margins of the Second Session of the Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction, which took place in Geneva, Switzerland, from 16-19 June 2009, the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the World Bank signed a joint statement to reinforce their collaboration to address the consequences of natural hazards and rebuild livelihoods in the aftermath of disasters.
17 June 2009: UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon launched a high-level Energy and Climate Change Advisory Group, which will bring together business leaders, experts and energy practitioners to advise him on climate change and energy challenges.
16 June 2009: In a video message to the High-Level Dialogue: Climate Change in Asia and the Pacific, which was organized by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in Manila, the Philippines, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon recalled that 2009 is the year of climate change and listed its impacts in the Asian region, including shrinking glaciers that threaten water supplies and food security, rising sea levels, desertification and land degradation.

8 June 2009: During the 98th session of the International Labour Conference of the International Labour Organization (ILO), taking place in Geneva, Switzerland, from 3-19 June 2009, the committee of the whole held a discussion on the role of green jobs in the current economic crisis as a driver for economic recovery, environmental protection and creation of decent work opportunities for all.
