IEA11 July 2012: As part of its series on the energy policies of member countries, the International Energy Agency (IEA) published a 2012 review of Ireland's policies and challenges. It contains: a policy analysis, reviewing general energy policy, climate change and energy efficiency; a sector analysis, reviewing electricity, renewable energy, natural gas, coal and peat and oil; and an energy technology analysis, reviewing energy research, development and demonstration.

ECPA Takes Stock of Energy Policies in Seven Caribbean SIDS [viewed]

June 2012: The Energy and Climate Partnership of the Americas (ECPA) released a report on the state of the energy sector and energy policy in seven small island developing States (SIDS) in the Caribbean, with an emphasis on renewable energy and energy efficiency opportunities in each country: Antigua and Barbuda, the Bahamas, Dominica, Grenada, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

Montreal Protocol TEAP Releases Report on Alternatives to ODS [viewed]

May 2012: The Technology and Economic Assessment Panel (TEAP) of the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer has released the second volume of its 2012 report, which consists of a task force report on Decision XXIII/9 titled “Additional Information on Alternatives to Ozone-Depleting Substances (ODS).” The report will be considered by the 32nd meeting of the Open-Ended Working Group (OEWG 32) scheduled to convene in Bangkok, Thailand, from 23-27 July 2012.

Event: Advancing Ozone and Climate Protection Technologies: Next Steps [viewed]

This meeting is being co-sponsored by the UN Environment Programme (UNEP), the UN Development Programme (UNDP), the US Government, and the Alliance for Responsible Atmospheric Policy. IEA's Solar Heating and Cooling Roadmap Highlights GHG Mitigation Potential [viewed]
