Event: Nigeria Alternative Energy Expo [viewed]

The Nigeria Alternative Energy Expo will focus on reforming Nigerian power and is taking place via a partnership with Nigerian's Energy Commission, Renewable energy programme of the Ministry of Environment, Presidential Action Committee on Power (PACP), as well as REEEP, the UN Environment Programme (UNEP), the UN Global Compact, the UNFCCC Secretariat, and others. European Commission Legislation Incentivizes Eco-innovation for Cars [viewed]

25 July 2011: The European Commission adopted legislation providing incentives for the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions from cars through eco-innovation. The Regulation enables motor manufacturers to receive carbon emission credits if they fit new cars with approved "eco-innovations" reducing emissions.

Event: First Climate Change and Development for Africa Conference [viewed]

Organized by the United Nation's Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) African Climate Policy Centre, the aim of this conference is to establish a forum for dialogue, enhance awareness raising, mobilize effective commitment and actions through bringing together policy makers, academicians and practicing stakeholders with the aim of effectively mainstreaming climate change concerns into development policies, strategies, programmes and practices in Africa.
