IEA Publishes Technology Roadmap for Industrial CCS Applications [viewed]

International Energy Agency (IEA)20 September 2011: The International Energy Agency (IEA) has published a report titled “Technology Roadmap – Carbon Capture and Storage in Industrial Applications,” which indicates that carbon capture and storage (CCS) could potentially reduce carbon dioxide emissions from industrial applications by four gigatons by 2050.

Event: CLEAN-Linking Open Data Webinar [viewed]

The Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Partnership (REEEP) and the US National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) are holding a webinar for climate-related database and portal managers on the use and benefits of Linked Open Data (LOD) to integrate web resources. This would enable more efficient sharing and leveraging of online resources, reduction of duplicated efforts, and general improved catalyzation towards low carbon development. The webinar will introduce the context of LOD and its uses, followed by a presentation of LOD in practice, and a discussion over use of linked open data. IDB to Support Establishment of Voluntary Carbon Market in Colombia [viewed]
