ADP Co-Chairs Release June Session Scenario Note [viewed]

UNFCCC5 May 2015: The Co-Chairs of the UNFCCC's Ad Hoc Working Group on the Durban Platform for Enhanced Action (ADP) have released their scenario note for the ninth part of the Group's second session (ADP 2-9), to be held in Bonn, Germany, from 1-11 June 2015. In the note (ADP.2015.3.InformalNote), Co-Chairs Ahmed Djoghlaf and Daniel Reifsnyder describe the objective of the meeting as "constructive negotiations" on the basis of the positions contained in the negotiating text agreed at ADP 2-8 in Geneva, Switzerland, in February 2015.

ASEAN Summit Adopts Declaration on Climate Change and Resilience [viewed]

Asean27 April 2015: The Heads of State and Government of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) have signed a declaration committing to economic, social, cultural, physical and environmental measures that will reduce vulnerability to disaster and climate-related risks. The signatories pledge their intention to systematically mainstream disaster risk management (DRM) and climate change adaptation into policy making at the local, national and regional levels through multistakeholder engagement.

UNDP Climate Change Innovation Camp Focuses on Urban Resilience [viewed]

UNDP19 April 2015: The UN Development Programme (UNDP) in the former Yugoslav Republic (fYR) of Macedonia hosted a Climate Change Innovation Camp as the culmination of the country's first nationwide climate change campaign. During the three-day camp, the ten finalists in the campaign pitched their ideas, which focused on reducing human impact on the climate and increasing urban resilience. The winning two teams will receive US$10,000 to realize their ideas.
