Event: US Clean Energy Education and Empowerment (C3E) Retreat [viewed]

The Clean Energy Education and Empowerment (C3E) initiative, of the Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM), aims to advance the position of women in the field of clean energy. This retreat, hosted by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's (MIT) Energy Initiative, will bring together 25 senior-level US C3E Ambassadors to discuss strategy and review the nominations for the C3E Awards, which will be announced at the C3E Symposium at MIT on 28 September 2012.

UNESCO Releases Meeting Report on Climate Change Education for Sustainable Development in SIDS [viewed]

UNESCO1 June 2012: The UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has released the report and recommendations of an experts meeting on Climate Change Education for Sustainable Development in small island developing States (SIDS), which was held in Nassau, the Bahamas, from 21-23 September 2011. The meeting addressed the role of education in helping populations from the Caribbean, Pacific and Indian Oceans adapt to climate change.
