28 January 2010: Speaking at the opening of the 16th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council of the African Union (AU), which took place from 28- 29 January 2010, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Jean Ping, President of the AU Commission, highlighted that necessary financing to support climate change adaptation in Africa was identified at the UN Copenhagen Climate Change Conference, as a result of the common position presented by African countries at the meeting.

BASIC Group Ministers Call for Additional Meetings Before Mexico [viewed]

24 January 2010: The second meeting of Ministers of the four BASIC (Brazil, South Africa, India and China) Group countries took place in New Delhi, India, on 24 January 2010.
