UNFCCC27 November 2012: For the first time, the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Conference has included a Gender Day, convened on 27 November, in Doha, Qatar. The Gender Day aimed to raise awareness of the gender and climate change issues as well as celebrate women and the role they play in addressing climate change, according to the UNFCCC.
