Event: II Meeting on Climate Change of the Regional Policy Dialogue's Climate Change and Disaster Risk Management Network [viewed]

The II Meeting on Climate Change of the Regional Policy Dialogue's Climate Change and Disaster Risk Management Network is organized by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). The Dialogue will focus on new strategic trends in combating climate change, such as "green" mechanisms and financial institutions, programmatic bilateral aid programmes, and the implementation of national climate change programmes at the sub-regional and local levels. The program includes a review of specific cases such as the sectoral requirements for adaptation in the water sector, the implementation challenges for mitigation in the forestry sector, and energy efficiency. The meeting will include work sessions to explore the political guidelines of countries in the region in light of the Durban Climate Change Conference.

CIF Projects Focus on Climate Resilience and Forests [viewed]
