LDC Eminent Persons Group Releases Report [viewed]
29 March 2011: The UN Secretary-General's Eminent Persons Group on the Least Developed Countries (LDCs) has released its report, titled “Compact for Inclusive Growth and Prosperity.” The report finds that the structural limitations of LDCs must be addressed in order to close the gap between LDCs and the rest of the world, and outlines objectives and targets for a new Programme of Action (PoA), including on small island developing States (SIDS) and climate change.
28 March 2011: The World Health Organization (WHO) and the UN Development Programme (UNDP) have launched a pilot project to increase adaptive capacity to respond to health risks resulting from water scarcity induced by climate change in Jordan.

23 March 2011: The UN Environment Programme (UNEP) has announced that, as part of its collaboration with the 2014 Winter Olympic Games Sochi organizing committee, it has submitted to the Organizing Committee environmental action plans that cover key areas including Zero Waste and Climate Neutrality.
22 March 2011: The African Rice Center (AfricaRice) has taken on the lead role for Africa in the Global Rice Science Partnership (GRiSP), a new research programme of the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR). 
22 March 2011: The UN Environment Programme (UNEP) has released a report titled "Urban Water Vulnerability to Climate Change in Mongolia," which predicts continued dramatic climate change in Mongolia over the next century, including more snow in winter and less rain in summer.
24 March 2011: The UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has launched the "Staff Guide to Greening UNESCO," which offers UNESCO staff simple tips to incorporate environmentally-friendly behavior into their work life.
23 March 2011: The report of the 31st meeting of the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) Afforestation and Reforestation (A/R) Working Group, which was held from 14-16 March 2011 in Bonn, Germany, is now available on the CDM website. The Working Group considers matters relating to CDM afforestation and reforestation project activities.
