23 April 2013: The first issue of the 2013 UN Chronicle has been released with a focus on the theme of water cooperation. Articles in the magazine address water cooperation in the context of cross-cutting issues such as development goals, women and agriculture, integrated water resources management (IWRM), and private sector involvement.
April 2013: The “Asia and the Pacific Parliamentarian and Civil Society Organization (CSO) Forum on Millennium Development Goal (MDG) Acceleration and the Post-2015 Development Agenda” resulted in a Bali Declaration on accelerating the MDGs and the post-2015 development agenda. It asserts that the post-2015 framework should be based on: human rights, democracy and good governance; equality and non-discrimination; sustainable development; and quality public service delivery.
April 2013: The Asia-Pacific Resource Centre (APRC) of the UN Development Programme (UNDP) has released a research paper analyzing the links among security, natural resources and climate change, and recommending options to maintain peace and security in the region.
April 2013: The Global Environmental Facility (GEF) has released a study, titled "Two Decades of Experience: Investing in Ecosystem Services and Adaptation for Food Security," which provides an overview of the GEF's investments in ecosystem services and improved food security system during 1991-2011.
25 April 2013: The UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has launched a Centre for “Water for Sustainable Development and Adaptation to Climate Change” in Belgrade, Serbia, which will aim to foster scientific cooperation and information exchange among organizations involved in sustainable water resources management.
22 April 2013: The Global Water Partnership (GWP) held the First Dialogue on National Development and Water Security in the context of Climate Change Adaptation to consider the linkages among water management, climate change adaptation and sustainable economic growth in Peru.

15 April 2013: Approximately 60 researchers and officials from the five Central Asian States and Afghanistan, as well as representatives from international organizations and the donor community, gathered at a UN-backed seminar to discuss the impact of glacier melting on the water resources of Central Asia and review practical steps in adaptation strategies at national and regional levels.
15 April 2013: The Secretariat of the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands (Ramsar Convention) and Conservation International (CI) have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) on the sidelines of the 46th meeting of the Ramsar Standing Committee to provide a framework for future cooperation.
