UNFCCC16 September 2014: In order to assist delegations in their preparations, the UNFCCC Secretariat has released the provisional agendas and annotations for the 41st meetings of the Subsidiary Body for Implementation (SBI 41) and the Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice (SBSTA 41). The documents (FCCC/SBI/2014/9 and FCCC/SBSTA/2014/3) contain the meetings' provisional agendas, originally released on 2 September, with annotations.

Nepal Identifies Drivers of Forest Loss [viewed]

unredd15 September 2014: The Ministry of Forests and Soil Conservation of the Government of Nepal has assessed the country's drivers of deforestation and forest degradation in order to develop policy options for REDD+. The assessment includes an evaluation of the effectiveness of previous forest policies and measures, and reports on four key drivers of forest loss that vary across Nepal's biophysical, ecological and social landscapes.

LAC Officials Trained in Using Satellite Technology to Monitor Forests [viewed]

Event: Towards a Deforestation-free Future: The Demand-side Challenge [viewed]

2014 SEED Awards Celebrate African, Low-Carbon and Women's Enterprises [viewed]

Seed10 September 2014: A total of 41 enterprises from Africa and elsewhere have received the 2014 SEED Award, which celebrates innovative social and environmental start-up enterprises in developing and emerging economies tackling key sustainable development challenges at community level. The awards were announced during the 2014 SEED Awards Africa Symposium, held from 10-11 September 2014, in Nairobi, Kenya.
