28 August 2008: The Africa Carbon Forum will take place from 3-5 September 2008, in Dakar, Senegal. At the thirteenth Conference of the Parties to the UNFCCC in Bali, Indonesia in December 2007, the Secretariat of the UNFCCC announced its intent to convene the first Africa Carbon Forum, in collaboration with the International Emissions Trading Association and the partner agencies of the Nairobi Framework, including the UN Development Programme, UN Environment Programme, World Bank and African Development Bank.
