Event: Second Intersessional Meeting for UNCSD [viewed]

The first meeting of the Preparatory Committee (PrepCom I) of the UN Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD, or Rio+20) called for three intersessional meetings to be convened ahead of the June 2012 event. Event: International Energy Efficiency Forum and Workshop on Investments in Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Projects [viewed]

The Forum is organized jointly by the Government of Kazakhstan, the UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), the UN Environment Programme (UNEP), and the UN Development Programme (UNDP). It will combine an assessment of energy efficiency (EE) and renewable energy (RE) policy and legislative frameworks with the analysis of international best practices in EE and RE, focusing on ways and means of financing EE and RE investments.
