16 January 2013: The Secretariat of the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands of International Importance especially as Waterfowl Habitat (Ramsar Convention) has reported on an upcoming mangrove rehabilitation and replanting project in two of the Marshall Islands' wetlands of international importance, Namdrik and Jaluit Atolls.
15 January 2013: The World Bank's Board of Executive Directors has approved funding of a project that aims to enhance government capacity to mitigate climate-related hazards in Nepal by improving the accuracy and timeliness of weather and flood forecasts and warnings for climate-vulnerable communities.
8 January 2013: The UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has launched a US$1 million two-year project to develop, pilot and distribute multimedia teacher-training materials on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in Viet Nam. The project is funded by Samsung and focuses on climate change responses, disaster risk reduction (DRR) and biodiversity at the primary school level.
December 2012: The Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO) has released the 2012 volume of Unasylva on the theme "The power of forests." The report highlights outputs from the FAO Global Forest Resource Assessment and examines forest issues in the wake of the UN Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD, or Rio+20).
14 January 2013: UN Human Settlements Programme's (UN-HABITAT) Executive Director Joan Clos has announced the launch of a Global Consultation on Wastewater Management and Water Quality for the Post-2015 Agenda. The Consultation aims to build consensus around key water challenges related to the post-2015 development agenda.
11 January 2013: The Climate Investment Funds (CIF) have reported on the implementation of Mozambique's US$100 million strategic programme for climate resilience, which was endorsed in June 2011 by the CIF through its Pilot Program for Climate Resilience (PPCR) window.
20 December 2012: Asia-Pacific countries have adopted a five-year regional plan of action for cooperation and capacity building in the use of space technology for disaster risk management and sustainable development.
December 2012: The Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO) has released two new products on climate change that document its work across the adaptation realm, as well as an animation of climate change impacts in mountain environments.

18 December 2012: Reporting on recent flooding in Italy and the Italian Government's efforts to secure €40 billion over the next 15 years for flood prevention, the UN International Strategy for Disaster Reduction - Regional Office for Europe (UNISDR EUR) highlighted the need for risk management and reduction to address known and emerging risks.
