16 January 2013: The Secretariat of the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands of International Importance especially as Waterfowl Habitat (Ramsar Convention) has reported on an upcoming mangrove rehabilitation and replanting project in two of the Marshall Islands' wetlands of international importance, Namdrik and Jaluit Atolls.

UNESCO, Samsung to Develop Training Material on Education for Sustainable Development in Viet Nam [viewed]

8 January 2013: The UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has launched a US$1 million two-year project to develop, pilot and distribute multimedia teacher-training materials on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in Viet Nam. The project is funded by Samsung and focuses on climate change responses, disaster risk reduction (DRR) and biodiversity at the primary school level.

Flood Prevention Funds Sought by Italy, UNISDR Reports [viewed]
