Pavilion Showcases UN's Work on "Living Ocean and Coast" at Expo 2012 [viewed]
12 May 2012: The UN Pavilion has opened at the International Exposition 2012 (Expo 2012) in Yeosu, Republic of Korea, under the theme "Oceans and Coasts: Connecting Our Lives, Ensuring Our Future—The Choice is Yours." The Expo is the first international exposition focusing on ocean, coasts and islands in international recognition of their role, and is organized around the overall theme "The Living Ocean and Coast: Diversity of Resources and Sustainable Activities."
8 May 2012: An Informal Ministerial Roundtable on Climate Change brought together representatives from 30 countries, including from least developed countries (LDCs) and the Alliance of Small Island States (AOSIS), to build on the achievements of the Durban Climate Change Conference. The meeting, which was hosted by the EU, also provided an opportunity for Ministers to discuss the upcoming UN Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD, or Rio+20).
3 May 2012: The World Bank's Fiscal Year 2011 Sustainability Review highlights the Bank's efforts to reduce water and paper use and offset greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions attributable to Bank activities.
3 May 2012: The World Bank published a book titled, “Sustainable Low-Carbon City Development in China,” offering practical lessons to policymakers in China to organize and coordinate sustainable low-carbon urban development.
27 April 2012: High-level political representatives from ten Caribbean islands have formed the Caribbean Overseas Countries and Territories (OCT) Council, which will focus on sustainable development, including work on climate change and renewable energy, in its cooperation with the EU. 
26 April 2012: The UNFCCC Secretariat has released the report of the centralized review of the 2011 annual submission of Slovenia (FCCC/ARR/2011/SVN), which shows that total greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions decreased by 3.3% between 1990 and 2009.
April 2012: The April issue of the Global Environment Facility's (GEF) “Greenline” newsletter presents publications on energy efficiency, mercury management, and the UN Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD, or Rio+20).
