UNDP Joins Climate and Clean Air Coalition [viewed]

UNDP8 November 2012: UN Development Programme (UNDP) Administrator Helen Clark has announced that UNDP has joined the Climate and Clean Air Coalition. The Coalition is a partnership among governments, NGOs and international organizations that aims to tackle the challenges posed by short-lived climate pollutants, such as black carbon, hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) and methane, at a global scale.

UNEP Hosts Fumigation Training to Assist with Methyl Bromide Phase-Out in Africa [viewed]

UNEP10 October 2012: The UN Environment Programme (UNEP) convened phosphine fumigation training in Douala, Cameroon, from 8-10 October 2012. The training aimed to demonstrate available methyl bromide alternatives for the management of stored grain pests, and analyzed the application, efficacy, cost, availability, global warming potential, registration, phytotoxicity, and corrosiveness of alternatives.

Event: Mitigation Potentials in the Livestock Sector: Video Seminar by CGIAR [viewed]

The Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) Research Program on Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS) will be presenting a live video science seminar on Mitigation Potential in the Livestock Sector, presented by Mario Herrero, senior agro-ecological systems analyst at the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI). The science seminar will cover the topic of mitigation potentials in the livestock sector, which will be followed by a 30-minute interactive discussion session.

UNFCCC Publishes LEG's Meeting Report [viewed]

FAO Report Describes Role of Women in Conserving Livestock Diversity [viewed]
