CBD Secretariat's Quarterly Report Includes Activities on Biodiversity and Climate Change [viewed]

© CBD5 May 2009: The Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) has published the quarterly report on the administration of the Convention, covering the period from January-March 2009. In relation to biodiversity and climate change, the report highlights the following activities: a capacity development workshop for the Pacific on National Biodiversity Strategies and Action Plans, the Mainstreaming of Biodiversity and the Integration of Climate Change (2-6 February 2009, Nadi, Fiji); and an online dialogue on the links between biodiversity, climate change adaptation and risks and vulnerabilities (9-20 March 2009) in preparation for the second meeting of the Ad Hoc Technical Expert Group on Biodiversity and Climate Change.

© On the Frontlines of Climate Change1 May 2009: “On the Frontlines of Climate Change,” an Internet forum launched by the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in partnership with the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), the Secretariat of the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues (UNPFII) and the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), has issued a call for project proposals.
