Event: UNU Public Symposium on Climate Change and Education: UNESCO's Role in the 2010s [viewed]

This public symposium is hosted by the UN University (UNU). Irina Bokova, UN Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Director General, will focus on the role of education in addressing climate change impact in a sustainable manner. UNESCO has recently launched a climate change initiative that supports investigation and research in areas such as advancing knowledge about climate change, preserving the biosphere, coping with the social aspects of climate change, and minimizing disaster risks.

Event: Governors' Global Climate Summit 3 [viewed]

The Governors' Global Climate Summit (GGCS) is co-hosted by the Governor of California and other Subnational Leaders and Partners, in Partnership with the UN Development Programme (UNDP) and UN Environment Programme (UNEP). GGCS 3 is focusing on "Building the Green Economy."
