UK, Caribbean Countries Agree on Sustainable Growth Action Plan [viewed]

CARICOM23 January 2012: The seventh UK-Caribbean Ministerial Forum, which was organized under the theme "Sustainable Growth Toward Prosperity," concluded with the adoption of a 31-point action plan. UNFCCC Launches Database of Private Sector-Led Adaptation Activities [viewed]

26 January 2012: The UNFCCC Secretariat has launched the Adaptation Private Sector Initiative database, a new online tool that showcases how businesses and communities can adapt to the inevitable effects of climate change. It features good practices and profitable climate change adaptation activities being undertaken by private companies (sometimes in partnership with NGOs or the public sector) from a wide range of regions and sectors.

Event: IEA Web Conference on CCS Outcomes from Durban and Next Steps for CCS in the CDM [viewed]

This webinar is taking place in light of the decision made at the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) negotiations in Durban, South Africa in December 2011, to formally include carbon capture and storage (CCS) into the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), providing an international incentive for the support of CCS operations in developing countries, and is a significant step forward for global CCS deployment.
