WMO Releases Publication on the Impact of Aerosol Pollution on Precipitation [viewed]
26 November 2008: The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) will release, on 28 November 2008, a new international scientific review entitled “Aerosol Pollution Impact on Precipitation,” published jointly with the International Union for Geodesy and Geophysics. The book examines the state of scientific knowledge on the way air pollutants, particularly tiny particles called aerosols, affect global weather and climate patterns.
25 November 2008: The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) has released the 2007 Greenhouse Gas Bulletin, which indicates that the trend of rising emissions of greenhouse gases continued during that year. 
24 November 2008: The 45th Conference of Directors General of Civil Aviation of the Asia and Pacific Regions is taking place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from 24-28 November 2008, under the theme “Cooperating towards enhanced aviation safety, security, efficiency and environment.”
24 November 2008: In an editorial published in the Japan Times, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon underscores that the financial crisis is unique and potentially overwhelming, and warns against the risk of it evolving into “tomorrow's human crisis.”
23 November 2008: The sixteenth Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum economic leaders' meeting was organized under the theme “A New Commitment to Asia-Pacific Development,” and convened in Lima, Peru, from 22-23 November 2008. The meeting concluded with the adoption of a declaration in which the economic leaders commit to enhance their cooperation to improve risk reduction and fight climate change. 
21 November 2008: Speaking at the closing of the International Conference on Biofuels, which convened from 17-21 November 2008, in São Paolo, Brazil, Brazil's President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva called on industrialized countries to invest in the production of biofuels in impoverished countries that have available land, such as African countries. 
20 November 2008: A World Meteorological Organization (WMO) Global Atmosphere Watch programme will receive new data on carbon dioxide from a new laser device installed in Jungfraujoch, Switzerland. 
20 November 2008: In a video message to the symposium on climate change held at the Korean Academy of Science and Technology in Gyunggi-Do, Korea, from 20-21 November 2008, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon stressed that the science of climate change is clear and its effects risk getting worse.
