December 2012: The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) has published an analysis of Greater Copenhagen, Denmark, on measuring the potential of local green growth. The analysis makes ten recommendations aimed at stimulating green innovation and competitiveness, and financing innovation and developing “knowledge intensive green activities.”
15 January 2013: According to a press release, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) has announced that it has earmarked $275 million for financing public buses with lower greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in major cities in the People's Republic of China (PRC).

The Accreditation Panel (AP) was established to prepare the decision making of the Executive Board of the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) in accordance with the procedure for accrediting operational entities. The 63rd meeting of the CDM Accreditation Panel will meet in Bonn, Germany, from 4-8 February 2013.
The second meeting of the Adaptation Committee will take place after the approval of its three-year workplan by the 18th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 18) in late 2012. The Adaptation Committee was established as part of the Cancun Adaptation Framework to promote the implementation of enhanced action on adaptation in a coherent manner under the Convention. The Committee's functions include: providing technical support and guidance to the parties; promoting synergy and engagement with national, regional and international organizations, centres and network; and providing information and recommendations for consideration by the COP.
9 January 2013: The Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Partnership (REEEP) will fund 28 new low-carbon projects aiming to scale up renewable energy and energy efficient solutions in key emerging markets and selected developing countries in Africa and Asia.
The 71st Meeting of the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) Executive Board (EB) will convene in Bonn, Germany, from 30 January - 1 February 2013.
7 January 2013: The International Energy Agency (IEA) has underscored the need to reduce energy use from information and communication technology (ICT), which currently accounts for 5 percent of global electricity consumption.
24 December 2012: Supported by the World Bank, the 9th annual South Asia Economic Students Meet (SAESM), held in Kathmandu, Nepal, from 18-22 December 2012, provided a cross-cultural platform for future Asian leaders to exchange innovative ideas on environmental challenges. Under the theme "Towards a Green South Asia," the goal was to engage youth from rising South Asian economies on environmental solutions, while encouraging regional cooperation.
