28 April 2010: The 19th Japan-EU Summit convened in Tokyo, Japan, on 28 April 2010. Besides discussing Japan-EU bilateral relations, Summit leaders exchanged views on a number of key international questions including climate change.
26 April 2010: The UNFCCC Secretariat has published the report of the Ad Hoc Working Group on Long-term Cooperative Action under the Convention on its ninth session (AWG-LCA 9), held in Bonn, Germany, from 9-11 April 2010 (FCCC/AWGLCA/2010/3).
28 April 2010: The report of the Secretary-General's Adivsory Group on Energy and Climate Change was launched on 28 April 2010. According to the report, would be possible to provide universal access to modern energy services by 2030 without significantly increasing greenhouse gas emissions, by scaling up renewable energy and other low-emission technologies.
28 April 2010: Spain has become the first country to make a significant contribution to the Adaptation Fund. The country's contribution of 45 million Euros (US$60 million) will help the Fund finance climate change adaptation projects and programs in developing countries.
26 April 2010: The First Ministerial Conference on the Environment and Renewable Energy within the framework of the 5+5 Mediterranean Dialogue convened on 26 April 2010, in Oran, Algeria, with representatives from Northern Mediterranean countries (Spain, France, Italy and Portugal) and five Southern Mediterranean countries (Algeria, Libya, Morocco, Mauritania and Tunisia).

25 April 2010: The need for Africa to speak with one voice and make itself heard at the upcoming 16th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 16) to the UNFCCC, to be held in Cancun, Mexico, at the end of 2010, was highlighted during a seminar on climate change and Africa organized by the World Bank.
